Primary Headteachers Learning Forum

Date: Monday 6th November 2017, 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Venue: TBC

This is an exciting time to consider how research and practice can be bridged. These regular sessions give experienced and new headteachers the opportunity, within a trusting environment, to step back, reflect and discuss with colleagues, relevant research focused on pedagogy and leadership. Headteachers gain an enormous benefit from networking, discussing practical experiences and strategies; enabling them to become more evidence
informed in their role and therefore more effective and confident in leading their school.

This is achieved through:

  • increasing participants’  knowledge of  relevant research concerning  pedagogy and leadership matters
  • providing opportunities to reflect on relevant research, both national and school based and to consider the implications of the research for participants’ own practice
  • providing opportunities to reflect on the practical experiences  of other participants
  • networking, within a trusting environment, with people in a similar role which goes beyond the bounds of the sessions
